Today is already Day 20 of 5 weeks to get fit challenge! Time is flying by. Today we are going to work our shoulders. I know we worked them on Monday, but they have had plenty of time to rest
I just wanted to say thank you for this blog. I have been following your blog since March so about 4 months I have lost 20 lbs and inches but in the last 2 weeks I have hit a plateau I was wondering what you do when you get to that point and if there is a book or nutritional plan that you follow with this workout?
Jasmine! You are amazing!! I am so happy to hear of your success and I truly appreciate you and your support of this blog. I totally understand the “plateau” frustration. I don’t have a specific nutritional book that I follow, but when I feel like I have hit a plateau I re-evalute what I am doing and eating. I will make small changes to my meals for example a different vegetable, or different kind of lean protein. I will also make 1 or 2 small changes in my workouts in order to get new muscle growth and ultimately loose fat. I will add on maybe an extra 5-10lbs to my reps and if I am suppose to do 10, but I can only get out 8 that is ok, because you just went heavier and are triggering new muscle growth. Without being long winded and getting to overwhelming, I would make 1 or 2 small changes to your workout, heavier weight and fewer reps, or superset more of your workouts and see if you bust past the plateau. If not, then try making a few small changes to your meals, it doesn’t have to be huge just enough to tweak your body from what it has been used too. Let me know if this helps or you need any meal changing suggestions. You can email me at [email protected]. Shannon 🙂
