Fall is in the air and this baked Low Fat Pear Crisp is just the warm and lite dessert you will love to feed the soul.
Low Fat Pear Crisp is just a little twist on the famous apple crisp. It smells just as amazing cooking and fills the house with the smell of Fall. I hate to be a broken record so fast forward if you don’t want to read this AGAIN, but I LOVE simpliciy and this Low Fat Pear Crisp is just that! When a recipe only uses two of anything to make it, count me in. All you need is a food processor and a bowl to make this deliciously, cinnamon smelling dessert. However, if you don’t have a food processor, don’t panic you can mix all the ingredients for the topping with a potato masher or wooden spoon.
The maple icing on top is totally optional, just like a cherry on top of your sundae, looks great, taste great, but won’t be missed if you don’t want to add it. With that said… IT’s DE-LISH! But, don’t let me peer pressure you into it ;). When I made this Low Fat Pear Crisp I served it with a scoop of nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt and a slice of pear on top. The yogurt was nice and cold and tasted so good as it melted slightly and blended with the gooey pear crisp.
I can smell the scent of fall in the air and can see the leaves changing colors. The perfect time of year to serve this Low Fat Pear Crisp fresh, warm, and bubbling from the oven with a side of cold vanilla yogurt. Start Falling in love with Fall! xoxo
