I’ve been told that I am quad dominant, so when doing a lot of exercises that should work the hamstring and glutes my quads automatically take over. (Squats, lunges, wall squats, etc) and suggestions on how to fix this? I had been told to avoid the exercises that cause me To use my quads but I feel like a lot of the leg day things use them.
I love your site. Since I have lost my trainer I have been lost. I like that everything is laid out and is given in simple directions. I walk 8 – 10 miles, 5 – 6 days a week with my job so I have been having a hard time getting motivated for cardio. I try to fit it in when I can.
I think you are doing great! We are all human and only have so much time in our days, so you fitting it when and where you can is all you can ask for. Keep up the hard work and dedication!!
Hi! I have a question. I do not have access to a hack squat machine. Is there another machine I can use to replace this exercise or is there something else I can swap it out for that uses the same muscle group?
Yes you can do wide leg squats with dumbbells, a barbell, or squat rack. You could also do straight leg deadlifts too. Either will be great!! Shannon 🙂

Maya! HI, no problem you can use dumbbells or a barbell and do stiff leg dead lifts, it will work those hamstrings just as much!

Day 6 is a killer. OMG is hard to do cardio after legs. I feel like I can’t even walk.

I go to a very busy gym. Hard to do sets as machines are in high demand. Should I increase reps?

What I would do if you can’t do supersets is just do each exercise individually and not worry about super setting them. Does that make sense?
