Hey Shannon
Im a mother a single mother of two boys. And i lost all of the baby weight now I need to tone all my body believe me is not pretty.
Its very hard to find PT’s here where I live Luanda, Angola.
And when I go to the gym is very pack and full of testosterone if you know what I mean.
How to start, what do its a big challenge for me.
Im just starting my fitness work out and I’m very gym health illiterate
How do you take all of this suplemments and proteins and snack
Your exercise routines are amazing I love to see each picture. but really don’t know what is good for me
Please help!!!!
Edna!! thanks for all your questions and I hope I can answer them. First of all, I completely understand the overload on Testosterone at the gym, but you know what? Just ignore it and do your thing, that is what I do. Starting out can be super overwhelming, but if you just take it day by day it will eventually become a good routine for you and it won’t be so overwhelming. I don’t take any supplements really, I just drink a pre-workout drink in the car on the way to the gym, and then as soon as I am done lifting weights I drink my post-workout shake, which really is just protein powder and water shaken up, pretty basic. I try to eat lean protein about every 3 hours, but life is crazy sometimes and it doesn’t always happen. So just try and take it one day at a time, do a workout and ignore all the people around you, you know what to do if you watch the videos, they should be able to guide you, and DON’T be afraid to ask someone for help. I would start with the 6 week program and then go from there. I am going to be putting them all on one page this week so it will help everyone go directly to them without having to search through all the workouts. If you have any further questions PLEASE send me a message!!

Hi!
Are you actively taking all of these supplements? I would like to drop a pant size and build muscle in place of the extra fat. I have been in and out of the gym for a little over a year. Right now I am taking a basic whey protein powder (EAS) and mainly use it as a protein supplement. I try to get all of my protein (120g) through lean protein. My question- should I be taking more supplements to get better results?
By the way, I love this blog! I wish I would have found it five years ago…so many things have finally “clicked” with me after reading through some of your posts and comments replies.
Thanks sooo much!
Hey Casey! It sounds like you are doing a great job and are on target with your lean protein intake. I am actively taking the supplements that I talk about. With that said, after I have finished my Creatine, I give it a rest for a couple months and then pick it back up again, but the rest of them I always take. I would recommend taking the creatine if you are not already. I like the Kre-Alkalyn because it doesn’t make me bloated and puffy like a blow fish and it provides good results in a healthy way. I hope this answers your question, and thank YOU for following along.

Hi Shannon,
I really appreciate you getting back to me. I’m going to look into the Kre-Alkalyn that you suggested, but I’m still a little confused.
Do you take all of these supplements everyday? I noticed there were a couple of supplements that you said you drink after your workouts. Are you mixing some of them together or drinking all of these supplements separately after you workout?
Sorry!…I don’t know much about supplements but would like to learn more.
I really appreciate your advice!
Casey! No need to apologize, supplements are overwhelming. I take all the supplements daily. I drink BCAA’s during my workout and after, but I also drink my protein shake right after I am done lifting weights. The BCAA’s help to hydrate and repair your muscles so that is why I tend to drink them throughout the day. Let me know if this makes sense? I know it can ALL be confusing. The Kre-Alkalyn I do take before and after I workout, but we can go into that if you decide to take them. 😉
Shannon 🙂
Thank you so much! That clears up a lot!:)
